How to get to Panajachel?

From Guatemala City take the carretera Interamericana CA1 going towards the boarder of Mexico, this will take you to the western part of the country. Once you reach Los Encuentros, Kilometer marker 133 turn left towards Sololá, located approximately in Kilometer marker 141. Once in Sololá, follow the indications to go to Panajachel (town in front of the lake). If you go by shuttle bus from the airport the journey may take approximately 3.5 hours. If you travel by car it may take 2.5 hours.
